Youth run over by tractor in Dewas dies; Five arrested
Indore: Five persons were arrested in connection with the killing of a youth after a man ran him over with a tractor on Sunday in Jasodgarh village of Dewas. The violent clash stemmed from a financial dispute and claimed the life of Aman Vaishnav, a resident of Siya, who succumbed during treatment on Wednesday. The CCTV footage of the incident surfaced on Wednesday, showing a man driving a tractor, ploughing through a group of people and smashing a parked car.According to police, the clash occurred under BNP police station limits following an ongoing monetary dispute between Ajay Kumawat and his uncle Keshrimal. The disagreement escalated a few days earlier during a wedding. On the day of the incident, Ajay, Aman and their aides went to Jasodgarh village to settle the matter. However, instead of resolving the issue, the situation turned violent.During the confrontation, a man from one group ran over the crowd with a tractor, in which Aman sustained severe abdominal injuries. He was initially admitted to a hospital in Dewas and later transferred to Indore, where he succumbed on Wednesday. His family members staged a protest by bringing his body to BNP police station, demanding that murder charges be filed against the accused. They alleged that the act was intentional and called for strict action. Later, BNP police added section 101 (murder) of BNS to the case and confirmed the arrest of all five accused involved in the attack. The tractor was also seized. BNP police station in-charge Amit Solanki said that the case is being investigated and appropriate legal action will be taken.
