Younger brother of Khandwa MP dies by suicide

Indore: Vishwanath alias Badu Patil, 58, younger brother of Khandwa MP Gyaneshwar Patil, died by suicide early Wednesday morning after jumping into a well in his agricultural field at his native village Boharda. The incident occurred around 4 am.According to Burhanpur SP Devendra Patidar, the police initially received information that Vishwanath Patil was missing. During the search, his slippers were found near the field, raising suspicion. A subsequent search led to discovery of the body in the well which was taken out with help of divers after nearly three hours of effort. Police have sent the body for postmortem examination and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the death.MP Gyaneshwar Patil, who was in Delhi, left for Burhanpur after receiving the information. A large number of relatives, supporters and locals gathered at his residence in Boharda after the news spread. In view of the gathering, police personnel have been deployed at the residence to maintain order.Chief minister Mohan Yadav expressed grief over the death of Vishwanath Patil and extended condolences to the bereaved family.
