Young champions of Mhow golf course feted

MHOW: Young champions from Army Golf Course of Mhow, Kartik Mandiya, Pankaj Mandiya and Varun Mandiya have brought laurels by winning first and second position in category A and first position in category B respectively in Golf Shire junior golf tournament held at Bangalore recently.
Kartik won in the overall team A category and Varun Mandiya won in the overall team B category.The tournament was organized under the aegis of Touch Golf Club.
Pankaj won the longest drive competition by hitting 330 yards. The same golfers had brought laurels to the Army Golf Node in December last year by winning Callaway junior golf tournament held in Kolkata.
Army War College officiating commandant Maj Gen NP Gadkari felicitated the young golfers on Tuesday for their performance and motivated them to keep performing well at highest levels. He also expressed his satisfaction over the steps taken by the Army Golf Node to motivate and promote young golfers.
