Indore: A dispute between two wives over a man turned violent in Chandan Nagar area on Thursday after one of them allegedly assaulted the other during an argument at the latter's residence.
Police said Tahera Shah, a resident of Geeta Nagar, lodged a complaint alleging that Saina, the second wife of her husband, Waris Ali, assaulted her during a confrontation. Based on the complaint, Chandan Nagar police registered a case against the accused woman and initiated an investigation.

Police said Tahera was at home with her husband Ali, when Saina arrived and began arguing over Ali not visiting her. The altercation escalated despite attempts to calm the situation.
Tahera told police that she tried to reason with Saina, but the accused became aggressive and the argument intensified. During the confrontation, Saina allegedly assaulted Tahera with her fists and also kicked her in the stomach.
Waris Ali and a relative, Nahid, who were present at the house, intervened and separated the women.
Tahera sustained injuries in the assault and was initially taken to the district hospital for treatment. Doctors later referred her to MY Hospital, considering her condition.
Police recorded Tahera's statement at MY Hospital. Based on her statement, Chandan Nagar police registered a case of assault against Saina.
