INDORE: Besides cleanliness, Indore should also be number one in every area including sports, education, employment, National General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party, Kailash Vijayvargiya said during the IDCA annual general meeting (AGM).

“Player shouldn’t have any other pressure besides the game and from 14-24 year old players should be assisted in every manner possible,” added Vijayvargiya who was elected as the president of IDCA again during the AGM.

Vijayvargiya suggested a committee of senior members to be formed for the suggestion on not allowing the outstation players for IDCA clubs.

Players of Indore like Shubham Sharma, Rajat Patidar, Gaurav Yadav, Saransh Jain, Mihir Hirwani and Harsh Gawli, who represented the state in Ranji Trophy, were felicitated at the Indore Divisional Cricket Association (IDCA) award ceremony on Saturday.

Chandu Shinde and Sushil Agrawal was bestowed with lifetime achievement award by the association on this occasion.

Nilose also informed that 700 matches have already been played in the ongoing session and during the pandemic, as many as 540 matches were played during pandemic keeping Covid-19 protocols in the previous years.

Summer camps couldn’t be organized owing to the financial issues and the club registration fees was reduced and no late fees was imposed by IDCA.

Harshit Yadav, Madhav Tiwari, Anadi Tagde and Soumya Ali, and Ayushi Shukla were felicitated as emerging players by the association.

Indore’s winning teams was bestowed a prize of Rs one lakh. After this, the winner and runners-up team of Late Surushchandra Lunawat Memorial Under-18 tournament and 6 PM Super League cricket tournament, organized by IDCA, were also rewarded.

The prize distribution took place in presence of president of IDCA, Kailash Vijayvargiya.

Wher as vice president of the association, Narendra Rathore suggested that the female players from rural areas should also be encouraged.

One IDCA member suggested that the members should also pay a yearly membership fees which at present isn’t a mandate.
