INDORE: An MBBS government doctor Pawan Rajput presently posted at a community health centre (CHC) in Mahoba district of UP was arrested by Indore’s Aerodrome police on Saturday in connection with MP Pre-Medical Test 2011 fraud.
The 29-year-old doctor, who is a native of Hamirpur district of UP and completed MBBS from Jhansi Medical College in 2012-13, is presently posted at a CHC in Kabrai area of Mahoba district.
According to Aerodrome police station in-charge KL Dangi, the arrested doctor was among the fraudsters from UP and MP, who had played a key role in making one Satyendra appear in the MPPMT in 2011 at an examination centre in Indore, in place of the actual candidate Ashish Yadav. A sum of Rs 3.5 lakh was promised by Ashish Yadav's family to the fraudsters.
Six persons, including the actual beneficiary Ashish Yadav, the imposter Satyendra, an MBBS student and a veterinary doctor from UP have already been arrested in connection with the 2011 fraud.
“Not only was the arrested government doctor from UP, Pawan Rajput involved in the 2011 MPPMT fraud in Indore, but he has even committed similar fraud by arranging proxy candidates for actual candidates in medical entrance examination in Sagar district of MP in the past,” Dangi added.
