Two kids left at petrol pump reunited with family by Dial 112 in Neemuch
Indore: A five-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl, who were left behind at a petrol pump on the highway after getting down from a vehicle, were safely reunited with their family, thanks to Dial 112 personnel in Neemuch on Tuesday.The incident took place under Neemuch city police station limits near Barkheda Hada petrol pump on the highway. The children were travelling in a pickup vehicle with their family. When the vehicle stopped at the petrol pump for refuelling, they got down to drink water, but the pickup left the spot before they could return. They were found wandering after losing contact with their family. Information about them was received at the state-level Dial 112 police control room in Bhopal on Tuesday, following which a Dial 112 response vehicle deployed in the Neemuch city police station area was immediately sent to assist.The Dial 112 team traced the contact number linked to the pickup vehicle through its registration details and informed the family about the children. The personnel then brought the children to the police station in the FRV vehicle.Sub-inspector Vijendra Singh Chauhan and pilot Vinod Sharma from the Dial 112 team reached the spot and took the children into their protection. After the family members reached the police station, the children were handed over to them following identification and verification. Police said timely intervention by the Dial 112 staff helped ensure the children were safely reunited with their family.
