Two-day AMSB seminar on AI ends

Mhow: A two-day seminar of the Army Management Studies Board (AMSB) 2024-25 concluded at Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) on Tuesday evening. It brought together senior military leaders, AI experts, policymakers, and academia to deliberate on the theme ‘Leverage & Actualise Artificial Intelligence in the Indian Army'.
The seminar was aimed at exploring AI-driven solutions in operational, administrative, and human resource development to enhance operational efficiency of the Indian Army. It commenced with a keynote address by vice- chief of Army staff Lt Gen NS Raja Subramani. He spoke on AI's impact on automation, data-driven decision-making, and military preparedness. I
In his address, Lt Gen Rakesh Kapoor outlined the strategic contours for developing and deploying AI-enabled capabilities within the armed forces.
Key sessions in the seminar included, AI's role in land warfare, kinetic and non-kinetic operations, increasing impact of AI in counter-insurgency and grey zone warfare, AI in operational logistics and human resource, and foundation for structured AI implementation strategies to include war-fighting strategies.
