Two arrested with illicit liquor & stolen vehicle in Ratlam

Indore: Two persons were arrested with 60 litre of illicit country-made liquor distilled from mahua and a two-wheeler at Hatpipliya outpost in Badawada area of Ratlam district. The accused were identified as 40-year-old Raj Babu and 35-year-old Shaitan Singh, both residents of Tokda Kanjar Dera in Unhel area of Jhalawar district of Rajasthan. A motorcycle with a tampered chassis number was also recovered from them. Badawada police station in charge inspector Prithvi Singh Khallate said a case was registered against them under section 34(2) of the Excise ActDuring questioning, the accused confessed to stealing a tractor from near Sindurkia village around five months ago and a tempo traveller vehicle from near Khimakhedi village about six months ago.In connection with these confessions, another case was registered against them under Section 303(3) of BNS at Badawada police station, and a 3 horsepower water motor was also seized. The total seizure includes 60 litres of illicit liquor worth approximately Rs 6000, the motorcycle valued at around Rs 80,000, and the water motor estimated at Rs 8000.
