Two arrested with 129 grams of brown sugar

Indore: Two persons were arrested on Friday in Banganga area with approximately 129 grams of brown sugar. The seized contraband is estimated to be worth Rs 1.29 crore in international market.According to DCP Rajesh Vyas, the arrested persons have been identified as Shivam Soni and Abhishek Singh Tomar. Acting on a tip-off, the police stopped the duo and recovered nearly 70 small packets of brown sugar, which were reportedly meant for retail distribution across the city. The duo had transported the narcotics from Rajasthan with plans to supply them in Indore and surrounding areas.Police suspect that the duo is part of a larger, organized drug trafficking syndicate.
