‘True education lies in bringing out inherent divine qualities in individual’
Khargone: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Wednesday said that true education lies in bringing out the inherent divine qualities present in every individual, emphasizing that knowledge of past lives exists within the human mind.Addressing a programme at Lepa Rehabilitation Village in Kasrawad tehsil on ‘Nation Building through Human Development,' Bhagwat said that education should instil values of global humanity, self-reliance and dignity of labour.
Citing social reformers Tantya Mama and Gadge Maharaj, he noted that despite having no formal education, they continue to be respected for their contributions. "Society must be strong; rulers and systems will keep changing," he said.On demands of declaring India a Hindu nation, Bhagwat said that no such declaration was needed. "What already exists does not require an announcement. The sun rises in the east and that does not need to be declared. India is not merely a geographical entity, but a way of life rooted in service, duty and welfare of all," he said.Bhagwat distinguished service from charity, calling it integral to India's ethics. "All human beings are manifestations of the divine. Therefore, rendering service is our duty. Service purifies the individual and everyone should contribute according to their capacity," he said.He stressed that true happiness lied within, not outside, and that India's civilizational journey focused on inner exploration leading to lasting happiness. Education should help individuals overcome personal difficulties while contributing to alleviating society's suffering, he noted.Bhagwat said India's progress should be inclusive, encompassing development of water resources, forests, rivers, mountains, animals and human beings alike.Around 300 guests attended, including former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and Padma Shri awardee Mahesh Sharma.
