Thousands take part in Ram Navami processions in Indore & Ujjain divisions

Members of the Muslim community and Shanti Samiti showered flowers on the Ram Navami processions while demonstrating communal harmony in Talab Chowk of Khargone district and Jogwara Road area of Sendhwa in Barwani district, where the incident of stone pelting were reported last year.
The Sikh community at the post office intersection in Khargone was seen offering refreshments to the crowd of devotees. Khargone collector Shivraj Singh Verma and superintendent of police DS Yadav, STF told TOI that Rapid Action Force, SAF and police force were deployed at the strategic locations, while heavy force accompanied the procession. The routes were closely monitored using drones and CCTV cameras, they said. Another procession was proposed on different routes of Khargone till midnight. By the time of filing of the report no untoward incident was reported.
