INDORE: Supporters of BJP candidate, Manoj Choudhary, from Hatpipliya constituency in Dewas district are trying to hook voters with their injured leader by wearing his mask in the last leg of poll canvassing.

Choudhary had suffered a leg injury during campaigning a week ago.

He has not discontinued his door-to-door campaigning but his supporters and party workers found a new way to extend their support to him by wearing masks of their leader for making vote appeals in public.

A supporter of Choudhary, Sanjay Soni said, "Manoj Choudhary never paused canvassing after the injury but to support our candidate and reach out to people in remote areas, we wear masks and appeal for votes."

After restriction in movement, Choudhary travels in an open jeep for door-to-door campaigning and his supporters reach out to voters with his face mask appealing for votes.

Another supporter, Rohit Choudhary said, "It's not just men but women supporters also wear masks of our candidate during campaigning. We have distributed masks to our team who wear them during campaigning and especially when we visit a family in our constituency."

Both BJP and Congress have fielded young faces in the constituency having 2,07,717 lakh voters of which 1,05,705 lakh are males and 1,02,009 lakh are females.

There are 252 polling booths in the constituency of which 238 are rural and 14 are urban.
