INDORE: State government has sought suggestions from youth to form and implement a new ‘Yuva Niti’ (Youth Policy) as chief minister
Shivraj Singh Chouhan is all set to launch state-level Youth Policy on January 12.
“Higher education department would seek suggestions from youth for ‘Yuva Niti’. Boxes will also be kept till December 30 to seek suggestions from over 20 lakh students across the state,” state higher education minister Dr Mohan Yadav told reporters.
Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) and other colleges will have suggestion boxes too for recommendations and suggestions which have been called it December 30.
A four-member committee comprising cabinet ministers- Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Vishwas Sarang, Dr Mohan Yadav and Inder Singh Parmar - has been working in their own departments in this regard. “The department is also planning to recruit over 4000 assistant professors via Public Service Commission (PSC),” Yadav said.
Under various categories of assistant professors there are a total 1669 posts vacant, 255 posts of librarians and 129 posts of sports officers. Making the total of 2053 vacant posts in the state.
In 2023, 1600 posts would be filled and in the second phase remaining 2400 posts would be filled. An education summit will also be organised in Indore and Ujjain from January 16-18. The summit will be of two days in Indore and one day in Ujjain.
“Education summit is being organised to focus on the enhancement of quality education and benefits of students,” he added.
