INDORE: Ahead of the launch of 'Madhya Pradesh Start-Up Policy' scheduled on Saturday in state capital, Bhopal, city based start-ups and entrepreneurs have claimed that state government has no idea about the ground reality and no suggestions were invited by the government.

Experts claimed that the need of a start-up is completely different from any other small and medium scale unit. "Even if the turnover of a smaller unit is close to Rs 2 crore its circumstances and needs are completely different from a start-up," said Indore Entrepreneur Network's ex-chairman Pratap Nair.
The state government has been drawing up the policy guidelines for the sector with an approved setting up of Rs 100-crore fund. However prominent start-up groups of city have claimed that unless the government understand the requirement of a young entrepreneur it would be difficult for them to formulate policy as per the need of the hour.
Fuming over the lack of participation from the entrepreneurs groups in city, many claimed that if government wants to work in this direction than steps should have been taken in this regard. "Majority of the start-ups aren't even aware about the policy.
A start-up brings in investments and generates employment but even after that we were not taken in loop," said Aditi Chaurasia, Founder, Indore Start-up community.
