Indore: Three promising players from Madhya Pradesh—Anaadi Tagde, Ayushi Shukla and Vaishnavi Sharma—were selected for the BCCI Under-19 Girls High Performance Camp. The trio was selected for this prestigious camp for the second consecutive year. The elite camp, aimed at nurturing the country's most talented young cricketers, will be held in Bengaluru from Monday to May 15. Only 20 players from across India made it to this list.
Out of the three, Anaadi and Ayushi represent Indore, while Vaishnavi hails from Gwalior. All three played crucial roles in India's historic win at the inaugural ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup. While Vaishnavi and Ayushi featured in all matches and delivered consistent performances, Anaadi impressed earlier as part of the Indian squad in the Triangular Series against South Africa.
Anaadi Tagde has emerged as one of the most exciting all-round talents in the country. Known for her impactful batting and bowling, she was recently selected for the Senior Women's One Day Challenger Trophy. She also featured in the Senior Women's Multi-Day Challenger Trophy held in Dehradun, where she was the youngest participant among several senior national players.
Vaishnavi Sharma's inclusion in both age-group and senior-level tournaments reflects her steady rise and strong performances in the domestic circuit. Both she and Anaadi were key figures in the Multi-Day Challenger Trophy, underlining their growing stature in Indian women's cricket in MP.
Currently, Anaadi and Ayushi are being trained under the guidance of renowned coach Devashish Nilose in Indore. Their rigorous training, combined with national-level exposure, positions them well for future success.
The High Performance Camp is designed to provide advanced training, technical refinement and physical conditioning to the top under-19 players in the country. It is considered a crucial step in the pathway to national and senior team selection. The camp will continue till May 15 and will include intensive sessions aimed at preparing players for future international assignments.
