Special prayers held at Mahakaleshwar Temple for Team India

Indore: As India and Pakistan prepared to face each other in a high-profile ICC T20 World Cup match in Sri Lanka on Sunday evening, special prayers were offered at Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, seeking Team India's victory earlier in the day.Since early morning, the temple witnessed elaborate rituals on the occasion of Mahashivratri. Amid religious observances, priests performed a dedicated puja for the Indian cricket team. Photographs of players were carried into the sanctum and displayed near the Shivling. Vedic mantras were chanted as priests prayed for India's success against Pakistan.
Similar scenes were reported at Angareshwar Temple in Ujjain, where over 50 priests and devotees gathered on Sunday morning to conduct a havan and special rituals. Photographs of players, including Suryakumar Yadav, Abhishek Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and Shivam Dube, were placed near the Shivling during the ceremony. Devotees offered prayers and sought divine blessings for a decisive win.Priest Manish Upadhyay said that prayers were offered to Lord Angareshwar, regarded as a symbol of strength and valour, to bless the Indian team with confidence and victory.
