With a view to encourage school leaders worldwide, develop global consciousness and promote international cooperation within their school communities, the 17th global connections seminar kicked off at Daly College on Thursday.

INDORE: With a view to encourage school leaders worldwide, develop global consciousness and promote international cooperation within their school communities, the 17th global connections seminar kicked off at Daly College on Thursday.
Around 45 senior educators from across the world, including China, USA, New Zealand, Colombia, Canada, Romania, Oman, Botswana, Singapore, Spain, France, Croatia, South Africa, Macedonia and India are attending the seminar based on the theme ‘peace education within faith diversity’.

Chairperson of global connection, Malcolm McKenzie told media persons, "There is extra ordinary richness in India with faith diversities. The situation in India is altogether different as people of various stay together in peace and harmony. We want to know about the culture and moral values of this country.”
Daly College principal Sumer Singh said that the seminar is one of the best platforms to understand and exchange educational and cultural values. Mutual understanding among the people and countries can be enhanced. "The main problem today is that we do not respect the differences, which create conflicts. This is the main issue which we will discuss,” he said.
Participants at the seminar discussed activities in schools, how to build individual’s character and what is happening in the world. How to build confidence in children and the way to handle conflicts was also discussed.
Member from different countries shared details of their education system and discussed different ways to instill moral values. They discussed different programmes which are being run in their schools and put up their points to repel conflicts and to feed moral values among the children. The seminar will be held till January 18.
