Now, her family is running pillar to post to get the complaint registered.
Anita, 19, (name changed), resident of Badri Mohalla reached out to officials of the district administration seeking help along with her family members. She was molested by a local influential when she was going out to attend natures' call because there is no latrine at her house.
However, this is the single family who go out to defecate in the absence of proper facility. Anita’s brother-in-law, Chandar Solanki who was with her to get the complaint lodged said that not only Anita of Badri Mohalla but women of his village Baloda, don't even have adequate farms to go to. In the night they defecate on the road, where there is a country made liquor shop.
In charge of the total sanitation campaign in the district, Mukesh Verma told media that the administration has identified 12000 such families in 136 villages of 125 panchayats which are both from APL and BPL categories who defecate in open.
He further said that the administration aim to construct the latrines for these families by the end of this year. It is an issue of honour and dignity and incidents like this could be averted if proper facilities are available, he added.
