Schoolkids in MP to study life of Padmavati

on Wednesday announced that the “life of Rani Padmavati” will be a part of

school education

in Madhya Pradesh.

“Rani Padmavati is the Rashtramata and a chapter on her life will be included in

school textbooks

in the state from next year,” the CM said after a delegation of Karni Sena on the sidelines of a programme organized for distribution of benefits to farmers under Bhavantar Scheme.

On November 20, the CM had announced that the film will not be released in MP unless corrections were made, making MP the first state to ban the movie. That was the first time the CM called Rani Padmavati “Rashtramata”. He reiterated: “We will not allow anyone to insult great personalities of India at any cost.” Karni Sena general secretary Anil Singh Chandel thanked Chouhan for banning the movie.
