Indore: Every time, a biker rode through Raj Nagar road between 11 pm and 1 am, creating loud bursting sounds, Advocate Shubham Sharma's 5-month-old baby woke up trembling and crying.
The biker's stunts disturbed sleep of other residents too causing a lot of distress to young and elderly alike. Sharma told TOI that he tried to identify the rider for several days, but the motorcycle sped away each time.

Sharma then submitted a written complaint to the police on Feb 12 and shared photographs and videos of the vehicle through WhatsApp.
Acting on the complaint, the police traced the motorcycle the next day and detained the rider within 12 hours. They said that the motorcycle, registered as MP-09 AX-8887, did not have a modified silencer. However, the rider was fined Rs 1,000 for speeding and performing stunts at night. Officers said he was also warned against repeating the behaviour.
"We received a message from Advocate Sharma regarding the incident, after which I informed Inspector Tilak Karole, who immediately dispatched a team to the spot and identified the accused. Although no modified silencer was recovered, it was found that he was repeatedly riding the bike on the same route and creating a nuisance. We made him fill a bond under Section 213 of the Motor Vehicles Act and challan action has also been taken," Additional Commissioner Amit Singh said. "Such incidents are a major focus of the cordon and search operation conducted on Friday. We are acting promptly on complaints as they are received, and cognizance is being taken in each case," he added.
