Prepared to deal with Covid surge: Officials

Indore: Senior officials at Indore district administration said they are well prepared to deal with a probable fourth wave of Covid. “The district has a total 15 government and as many as 111 private hospitals with a total 10,125 beds including isolation, ICU, PICU and other beds” ADM Abhay Bedekar said adding that the district has all the equipment required to deal with Covid-19.
“There are a total 45 oxygen plants in working condition in local hospitals along with a total 149 oxygen concentrators” he said adding that all the required medicines are available at CMHO store. “As many as 10 teams have been formed for sample collections while a process to form as many teams of Aurobindo and Index Hospital was on,” he said adding that the health department has Covaxin doses while a demand of Covidshield has been placed.
