INDORE: Around half a dozen long-distance trains operating via different stations of Ratlam division will remain cancelled or operate on diverted routes till October first week due to a power block.
While Valsad-Puri-Valsad Express (22909/10) has been cancelled till October 2, Kolkata-Madar Junction-Kolkata Weekly Express (19607/08) will remain cancelled till September 29. Indore-Bilaspur-Indore Express (18233/34) has also been cancelled till October 3.
On the other hand, Ahmedabad-Kolkata-Ahmedabad Weekly Express (19413/14) will operate on a diverted route till October 1, while Udaipur City-Shalimar-Udaipur City weekly Express (20971/72) will operate on a diverted route till October 2. Shalimar-Bhuj-Shalimar Weekly Express (22829/30) will also operate on a diverted route till October 4.
These trains will operate via Garhwa Road, Prayagraj Chhiuki, Murwada, Pt Deendayal Upadhyay and other stations, officials said.
“A mega power block has been planned under Jabalpur division for an ongoing doubling work due to which some trains that operate via different stations of Ratlam division have been cancelled or operate on diverted routes,” a railways spokesman Khemraj Meena said on Sunday.
“Passengers are advised to check for the train status in advance to avoid facing any inconvenience,” he added.
