Indore: A much-married man, arrested for plotting the trafficking of a stepdaughter, is on the run after bludgeoning his wife and both stepdaughters, aged 7 and 3, to death within a month of coming out on bail, Dhar police said on Tuesday.
Multiple search teams are looking for the suspect Kalu Yadav. Dhar SP Aditya Pratap Singh said the bodies of Kalu’s wife Lalita Yadav, 36, and her daughters Ranu and Janu alias Janki, were found in their house in Shala Punarvas village of Khalghat by a family member late Monday night. All three had horrific head injuries and there was blood all over the place. Police said the way the children were killed was particularly gruesome.
“Kalu was arrested in September for planning to sell his stepdaughter Ranu by sending her to his third wife, Sangeeta, in Maharashtra. He pretended that his daughter was abducted and came to the police station to register an FIR,” said SP Singh.
