A few colleges allegedly do not have necessary permissions for running specialized courses. However, senior officials of the university were of the view that the result should be declared and mark-sheets of students who allegedly took using wrong means should be withheld.
Sources said after university learnt that some colleges taken admissions in B Ed courses without necessary approvals, a scrutiny committee was set up at the time of filling up examination forms. The committee found that 27 students of Padma B Ed College are in violation of rules. At that time, the VC had instructed to hold the examination till the matter was resolved. But the senior officials advised to go ahead with the examination and take up the matter at a later stage as it might affect other students.
Now, when result of the examination was ready, the V-C wanted to put result on hold till the matter related to fake admission was resolved. Sources, on the condition of anonymity, said some senior officials are hand in glove with the college administration and they want that result be declared to benefit the colleges.
However, VC is finding him helpless for not being able to execute his orders.
