"We started preparing the food items from 5pm on Saturday evening and the preparations continued till Sunday morning. While most of the cooking was done by members of the trust, many non-members also helped in serving food during the feast,"

, president of the trust said.

Some members of the community also played the chanda melam, a drum shaped percussion instrument of Kerala, which added to the festive fervour at the temple. "We played the chenda melam for four hours at the temple that not only made the atmosphere more festive but also worked our appetite for the delicious food,"

Around 1,400 people enjoyed the traditional feast.
