Public Service Commission conducted its civil services main examination under tight security arrangements on Saturday. The examination will continue till October 7. The commission has made intense arrangement to curb unfair means. There were restrictions on candidates from wearing shoes, jewellery and carrying gadgets and stationery items. Nearly 6,000 candidates appeared in the examination at 12 centres across the state. In

and Bhopal, there are four centres each, whereas two centres each are set-up in Gwalior and Jabalpur.
Examination centres have been briefed about security procedures and mobile phone jammers and metal detectors to avoid any kind of malpractice. Examination controller,
R R Kanhere
said, “The examination will be held for the next six days. Results will be declared in December last week whereas interview is scheduled in March/April next year.”
