MP: Man pays Rs 4835 tax in advance, wins a car

Mishra (89), a resident of Nipania won the first prize – a

Maruti Alto

as IMC chairman Ajay Singh Naruka announced winners of the lucky draw contest.

Suresh Kumar Acharya of Annapurna won a

Honda Activa

as first prize for paying Rs2270 as advance water tax. Five other people– Pravinlata Jain of Goyal Nagar, ML Pandey of Scheme-91, Pushpabai of Sanchar Nagar, Purushottam of Scheme-97 and Raees Rashid of North Toda also won Honda scooty as second prize for paying property tax in advance.

Apart from chance to win many prizes in lucky draw contest, IMC also offers rebate of 6.25 per cent and 6 per cent respectively on payment of property and water taxes in advance.

IMC chairman Ajay Singh Naruka informed that this lucky draw contest was organised for advance tax payers of financial year 2019-20. “This contest is aimed at encouraging people to pay their tax on time,” he said.

IMC distributed prizes to winners of last year’s lucky draw contest. The winner of first prize – Preeti Prapanna, a resident of Palhar Nagar, was handed over key of Alto Car. She was winner of IMC’s lucky draw contest of the year 2018-19. She had paid Rs7001 advance property tax, which got her the car.
