MP: Amit Soni sent to judicial remand till Dec 30

INDORE: A

magisterial court

on Thursday sent

Amit Soni

, the son of absconding businessman

Jitu Soni

to

judicial remand

till December 30.

Tukoganj police

produced Amit Soni in the court as his four-day remand in a fraud and extortion case ended on Thursday. The court of Chief Judicial Magistrate first class Vinita Kumar sent him to judicial remand after Juni Indore and Malharganj police sought his police remand.

Soni’s counsel Ashwin Kumar Adhyaru opposed police remand and said that police could only demand remand of accused if it requires any seizure under the law.

Both fraud cases, registered at Juni Indore and Malharganj didn’t require any seizure from accused so remand couldn’t be granted, said Adhyaru.

The court of chief judicial magistrate first class Aman Singh Bhuria rejected bail application of Best Western hotel manager Tushar Kumar and sent him to judicial remand till December 30.

An additional district court judge rejected anticipatory bail application of absconding accused Jitu Soni in a fraud case at Vijay Nagar police station.
