MP: 3 killed, 2 injured in road mishap in Ujjain

INDORE: Three persons were killed and two critically injured when the car in which they were travelling collided with a heavy vehicle on Ujjain-Jaora Bypass road early on Tuesday.


They victims were moving towards Khachrod in the hatchback car when it met with the accident, Khachrod police said.

The nature of the collision suggests that the unknown vehicle was heavy motor vehicle that left the spot after the accident, police said adding the victims were entangled in the mangled metal of the car and had to be freed with the help of cutters.

Police said the injured were rushed to a hospital where Rakesh, 30, Deepak Soni, 26 and Pappu 28, were declared brought dead. Manoj Mohanlal and Rakesh Bamboria sustained critical injuries and were referred to Ujjain.

Police have registered case against driver of the unknown vehicle.
