INDORE: Two persons were killed and six other critically injured when roof of a hutment collapsed in
Agar Malwa
district in late hours of Sunday.
The victims were sitting inside the room constructed near a durgah on foothills in Gufabarda area when the roof collapsed due to heavy rains, police said.
Two persons – Ashfaq, 32, and Kailashchandra Agrawal, 57 – were killed on the spot. The rest were rushed to the district hospital, they said.
Doctors have referred Asif, 35, Irfan Khan, 40 and Sarvar Hussain, 45, to Ujjain hospital in critical condition, police said adding Farukh Khan, 23, Yunus, 40 and Shahrukh Khan were being treated at Agar Malwa hospital.
Soon after the news of the accident spread, people gathered in large numbers near the debris and the hospital. Police were deployed in strength to prevent any flare-up.
