Morning walkers' woes continue
INDORE: A group of representatives on behalf of the morning walkers went to meet MP Sumitra Mahajan at her residence on Saturday.
The walkers have been protesting since past few days against the IMC's decision on imposition of registration charge for morning walkers. Reportedly, the protestors are not allowed to enter the park unless they pay the monthly Rs 150 as registration charge.

"Since our voice is falling into deaf ears, we didn't receive any response from the mayor, we decided to meet Sumitra Mahajan. She has assured us that she will be raising the issue and try to lessen the price to Rs 30 per month. The said amount would be agreeable to us," said Jagdish Jambrekar a representative.
Sumitra Mahajan said, "I will try to convince the mayor to reduce the charges been levied on the morning walkers at regional park. The cost of maintenance in the park is really high as its building has glass work and the lights are expensive too. This will need some revenue. I can try to bring down the cost."
