Mhow: Man returning from court attacked, dies

MHOW: Unidentified persons attacked two bike-borne men near Utawad village on Dhar- Mhow road, in which one person died on the spot, on Saturday evening.

As per Naugaon police station in charge Dilip Wasuniya, Manoj Dodiya, a resident of Kunwarsi village falling under Sagore police station limits had come to Dhar district court to accompany his friend Dilip, who had to appear in some case in the court on Saturday morning.

After the work was over, both of them left for their village at about 4.30pm. While they were passing through Utawad village, three motorcycles came near them from rear side.

Dodiya realised the threat and he turned the motorcycle towards Dhar but before they could flee, a person sitting on one of the three motorcycles took out a pointed iron rod and inserted in his chest due to which he lost control over the two-wheeler and both of them fell on the road.

People rushed him to the Dhar district hospital where the doctors declared Dodiya as brought dead. Dilip has not sustained any injury in the attack.

Naugaon police has started investigation in the case and statement of Dilip has been recorded to ascertain the identities of the assailants.
