Mhow: The Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), Mhow, hosted Military Quantum Technology Seminar 2026 under the aegis of Army Training Command (ARTRAC) on Wednesday.
The event aimed at aligning the armed forces with the rapid advancements in next-generation secure communications and computing. MCTE commandant Lt Gen Praveen Bakshi was the chief guest at the event.
The seminar saw subject matter experts and military leaders deliberate on the future of tech-centric warfare, structured across two technical sessions.
The primary session delivered a comprehensive analysis of the National Quantum Mission and the recently promulgated Military Quantum Mission Policy Framework.
Deliberations focused extensively on harnessing military-civil fusion and ensuring seamless tri-services integration to build a resilient and quantum-secure communication infrastructure for the armed forces.
The subsequent session was dedicated to formulating a strategic roadmap for MCTE. It charted actionable pathways for future capability building, research and development of an in-house technical ecosystem within the quantum domain, keeping the military at the cutting edge of modern warfare.
Addressing the gathering, Lt Gen Bakshi appreciated the progressive vision and initiatives undertaken by the institution and commended the efforts to create robust technical infrastructure and align with the nation's drive for technological self-reliance. He also reiterated that such strategic foresight reinforces the Army's broader vision of technical infusion and preparedness for future multi-domain operations.
