The man, identified as Mukesh Prajapati of Kakriya Talai village of Singoli Tehsil, claimed that he has been complaining about corruption in his gram panchayat for the past seven years and has also visited the collector's office numerous times, but to no avail. Frustrated with the lack of action, he resorted to this extreme measure of rolling down on the road, wearing a garland of the complaints, and placing his own slippers on his head to draw attention to his plight.

Following the incident, the district collector, Himanshu Chandra, ordered a three-member committee to investigate the complaints within three days.

The man alleged that his gram panchayat had committed corruption worth crores of rupees. Despite providing evidence, he claimed that officials had failed to take any action.

After the video of the man's protest went viral, the collector formed a committee headed by SDM Jawad Rajesh Shah. The committee has been tasked with visiting Gram Panchayat Kakaria Talai and submitting a report within three days. The collector instructed all officials to take all complaints seriously and resolve them promptly. He also emphasised the importance of informing the complainants in writing about the status of their complaints.
