Madhya Pradesh: Man booked for having sex with 70-year-old mother's corpse in Indore
INDORE: A man in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, was reportedly caught having sex with the corpse of his deceased 70-year-old mother on a street, police said on Monday.
The police have filed an offence against the 22-year-old man under section 297 of the Indian Penal Code, which deals with showing disrespect to a human corpse.
As of now, no arrest has been made, as the accused is said to be mentally unwell, according to an official statement. The incident purportedly occurred on the street in the Badi Gwaltoli area during the night of December 1 and 2, said Palasia police station in-charge Jagdish Prasad Jamre.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police approached the accused and determined his mental health condition. The elderly woman, who had a lung disorder, was initially admitted to the Government Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital due to breathing difficulties, according to the official. Following her demise, the accused allegedly removed the body from the hospital. A post-mortem examination is scheduled for the body.
The accused has undergone a medical examination and remains unarrested, as clarified by the official. Another police officer involved in the investigation revealed that two students residing in a nearby hostel captured the incident on a mobile phone and promptly reported it to the police.
