INDORE: Green day was observed by students and teachers of Bhavans' Prominent School on Wednesday to mark the opening of the new session. Saplings were planted in school premises to create environmental awareness and to keep the city green.
Teachers told students about ill-effects of global warming and the harm which it has caused to nature. The importance of trees was told to students through videos, lectures and group discussions.

Students took an oath to save the environment with the slogan 'One House One Tree'. On the occasion, director (academics) Gertrude Olga Meer, chairman Sameer MH Meer, principal Subrata Banerjee and other teachers motivated the students to protect the environment.
