INDORE: After drubbing in assembly and parliamentary elections, Congress is now on a mission to retain its hold over state cricket association. With tough fight expected from state urban administration minister Kailash Vijayvargiya in upcoming election of Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA), incumbent president Jyotiraditya Scindia on Sunday arrived in Indore to participate in a programme of cricket body and met its members.

Scindia, who had registered a convincing win against Vijayvargiya two years ago in MPCA election is now looking forward to maintain his hold over the association. The occasion was birth centenary celebration of legendary cricketers and Scindia used the occasion for interaction with members ahead of election in August.
Scindia stressed on historic and glorious Holkar era and highlighted the contribution of legendary cricketers from city like C S Nayudu, M M Jagdale and S Mushtaq Ali.
Scindia, who is said to be in a strong position, limited his address to the subject of the gathering, preferring not to speak on forthcoming election. He spent significant time in meeting members. His strong association with members of MPCA is believed to be a strong point of Scindia.
