Tukoganj police

have submitted a reply stating that they would arrest the accused

businessman Jitu Soni

in cases registered against him as required with permission of the court.

Tukoganj police station in charge Rajkumar Yadav said, "We have submitted a reply in the court stating that we are investigating a case under which Soni is in police remand. We will further take remand of the accused in the cases, as and when required with the permission of court. We are investigating the matter and will arrest Soni in other cases. There are about 17 cases of land fraud under sections 420, 239 of IPC registered against him."

The police submitted the reply on an application moved by accused counsel Ashwin Kumar Adhiyaru demanding arrest of the accused in all the 17 cases together. Soni will be produced in the court on Monday as his police remand is ending. Adhiyaru in the application moved on Saturday in court of additional chief judicial magistrate first class Mahesh Kumar Jha.
