INDORE : Soon after offering Eid prayers at Sadar Bazar Idgah, shahar qazi Mohammad Ishrat Ali on Monday welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat campaign.
“Prime Minister’sncampaign has a lot of significance and relevance especially in to Islam”, he said, adding, cleanliness is a top on priority in Islam but is not observed in some Muslim areas.

Talking to media persons qazi said members of his community must treat cleanliness on priority, and efforts must be made to keep their houses and localities clean.
“Message of cleanliness must reach the people across the world”, he said adding, some institutions with vested interests are misguiding the youth. In fact, parents must see to it that their children do not fall in wrong hands”, he said.
He said that only because of handful of people the entire community is being looked at with suspicion. Earlier, as part of age old custom, qazi was drawn to the Idgah in a chariot (baggi).
