Indore truckers boycott loads with Turkey, Azerbaijan over support to Pakistan
Indore: The Indore Truck Operators and Transport Association on Wednesday called for a boycott of loading goods from Turkey and Azerbaijan to protest against their support for Pakistan during Operation Sindoor.In a letter to its members, the association appealed to refrain from loading goods and engaging in any trade with traders dealing in goods from Turkey and Azerbaijan.CL Mukati, president of the Indore Truck Operators and Transport Association said, "It's time everyone should come forward and support our country in whatever way we can. We have urged our members to completely boycott goods coming from and going to Turkey and Azerbaijan. We will not load goods from these countries because they supported our enemies."In Madhya Pradesh, around 7.5 lakh trucks are registered with the Regional Transport Office. Indore is a major trading and business centre with an estimated movement of around 4,000-5,000 commercial vehicles daily, according to truckers and transport associations.Earlier, the travel agents association announced they would not sell packages to these countries in support of India.
