INDORE: Parents of a 19-year-old girl stopped her
Though the girl’s report has yet not come, district health department officials claimed that she has been put under home isolation for the next 14 days as per government protocol. District chief medical and health officer DS Chouhan claimed that the girl’s sample was collected after the family reported the matter. "We are yet to get the report, but the girl has been put under home isolation as per the government protocol," claimed Chouhan while speaking to TOI.
"The girl would be taken to a quarantine centre or Covid care hospital if she is found positive," he added.

Their lawyer Virendra Verma said that he had collected their documents when he was approached by the girl’s father who claimed that she was infected with Covid-19. "I had no option but to ask them to leave as their family claimed that the girl was infected," said Verma while speaking to TOI.
"Both of them are adults. None of them had any symptoms and looked fine when they came to me. But their family seemed to be not in support of their marriage, and they might have come out with this idea to put the marriage on hold for some time," he said adding that the family’s claim however raised a suspicion, leaving me and others those who were present with no option but to wind up their work, and go home for the day.
Parent’s announcement however sent a shockwave among advocates and typists who left their work for the day and went home. The entire lobby area was evacuated within a couple of minutes as everyone got scared after coming to know about it.
"I took all precautionary measures right from taking bath and drinking hot water to save myself, if there was any risk of the infection," admitted Verma.
The young couple and their parents however could not be traced.
