Indore bizman’s son among 7 arrested for murder attempt on father

INDORE: Three days after a 53-year-old businessman Majru Khujema had a narrow escape in a murderous attack by unidentified shooters in Juni Indore area, police cracked the case by arresting seven persons including the victim’s son Adnan on Monday.
Adnan along with his business partner Ali Asgar and Khujema’s former trusted aide Suresh Yadav hired a gang of contract killers for Rs 25 lakh to eliminate his father, who had ousted Adnan from house three years ago and also humiliated Adnan’s wife.
However, the plan didn’t fructify as the bullet shot to kill Khujema on Friday night missed the target.
Investigations revealed that Khujema’s son Adnan, 30, who was involved in multiple businesses in the recent past, including commodities exchange trading, had suffered huge losses and had to repay private loans worth several crore rupees, SP West Abid Khan said on Monday.
Adnan planned to kill Khujema to avenge humiliation and take over his father’s business to repay loans.
The trio hired a contract killer Vishal alias Sonu and promised him Rs 25 lakh after the killing. Vishal was paid Rs 12 lakh in advance by Adnan and his business partner.
Vishal, subsequently, hired Raju Doodhwala and another contract killer Monti Puri for the job and paid them Rs 1.20 lakh.
To prevent himself and his aides from being caught by police, Vishal convinced Suresh Yadav to hire another gang of contract killers from Dhar district led by Idris to whom Rs 5 lakh was paid by Suresh.
“Idrish’s gang, unaware of Vishal’s plans to trap them in police net after the killing, also started tailing Khujema, but failed to kill the businessman. Vishal’s shooters, Raju, Monti and another aide managed to spot Khujema in Juni Indore on Friday night and opened fire on him, while he was on his way to home in Saifi Nagar. The fired bullet, however, missed the target after brushing Khujema’s ear,” added SP West.
Joint investigations by Juni Indore police and crime branch finally led the cops to the criminals and seven persons, including Adnan, Vishal, Idrish, Shanawaz, Mohd Asif, Abdul Mannan and Suresh Yadav (aged between 30 and 40 years) were arrested. Five others, among them Adnan’s business partner Ali Asgar, shooters Raju Doodhwalla, Monti and their two shooters are on the run, added SP West.
