Indore based liquor baron under I-T department scanner

INDORE: Investigation wing of Income tax department is carrying out search at the residential and official premises of city based liquor baron Pintu Bhatia alias Harmendra Singh and Shivhare group here on Thursday.
IT sleuths are searching thirteen city based premises. Official and residential premises of Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Satna are under the scanner of I-T department.Apart from this, premises at Bihar and Uttar Pradesh (U.P.) are also under the scanner.
“We are suspecting that the firms have been carrying into 'out of books' liquor production and sale. Illegal liquor trade has been flourishing without hindrance from the liquor barons,” said a senior I-T department official.
