A day after a married woman was abused, gagged, taken to an isolated area and gang-raped by seven including two kin near a nullah at Teen Imli Crossing, a case of gang-rape was registered at Bhawarkuan police station.

INDORE: A day after a married woman was abused, gagged, taken to an isolated area and gang-raped by seven including two kin near a nullah at Teen Imli Crossing, a case of gang-rape was registered at Bhawarkuan police station.
The incident took place on Thursday night when the 35-year-old was returning home after meeting her daughter in Chitawad area.

The seven accused, who were lying in wait, pounced on the survivor when she was on her way to home.
The victim somehow managed to escape from their clutches and reached home. The incident came to light when the woman went to MY Hospital for medical help. Later, police was informed about the incident and medical examination confirmed rape with the woman.
Investigating officer Anusuya Jain said the victim is a resident of Indira Ekta Nagar and worked as a cook.
She had to go to Mhow for some work on Thursday, which she declined because of Rangpanchmi.
The police have registered a case under sections 376-D and 377 under the IPC against the victim's nephews Bablu and Sanjay and neighbour Rajesh and others, including Virendra Malviya, Lucky Silawat, Pramod and Ravi Sahu.
