Indore: Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh high court issued notices to the state government, director general of police among others on a petition alleging that procedures were flouted and irregularities brought in during investigations into a complaint of fraud registered at Banganga police station.
Justice Prakash Srivastav issued the notice to home minister, director general of police, deputy inspector general, superintendent of police, police station in-charge (TI) of Banganga, sub-inspector(SI) and two others on a petition filed by one Govind Sekhreja alleging that his business partners had committed fraud with him and the Banganga police were fabricating evidence and bringing in irregularities in the investigation.
In October 2015, Suresh and Subhash Sahu, residents of Karma Nagar in Banganga sold nine hydraulic machines worth Rs 90 lakh to different parties without the knowledge of his business partner Govind Sukheja resident of Rajmal Extension RTO road Indore. Following this, Sukheja lodged an FIR against the Sahu brothers at Banganga police station accusing them of fraud. The accused were arrested by the Banganga police, and on December 31, 2015, they were brought before the judicial magistrate I class Pravin Shivhare. On the same date, the Sahu brothers signed a memo stating that they will help the police in the seizure of hydraulic machines from Nagpur and were given bail. However, the seizure memo which was submitted later in the court indicated that the machines were seized on December 28, three days prior to the day when the accused signed the memo.
