Madhya Pradesh HC notice to govt over vacant posts in State Food Commission

INDORE: Indore bench of MP high court issued notice to state government on a

PIL

seeking direction to fill in vacancies in

State food commission

for ensuring proper implementation of National Food Security Act, 2013.

The petitioner further demanded for constitution of Judicial

Commission

to exercise the powers of State Food Commission, under the chairmanship of retired high court judge for proper implementation of the National Food Security Act, 2013 till disposal of PIL.

The division bench of Justice

Vijay Kumar Shukla

and Justice Rajendra Kumar while allowing the PIL of writer and researcher Chinmay Mishra issued notice.

The court in its order said, “Issue notice to the respondent; notices are accepted by learned counsel for the respondents/State, who prays for and is granted 15 days’ time to seek instructions in the matter.”

Petitioner counsel Abhinav Dhanodkar submitted that State Food Commission have had the key role in monitoring and implementation of FSA and give advice to the State Government time to time for its’ implementation. ot only this the Commission is also having the duty to prepare the annual report and to hear the appeals against the orders of District Grievance Redressal Officer, Dhanodkar submitted.
