Indore: Four people lost their lives in three road accidents across Dewas district between Sunday evening and Monday afternoon.
On Monday afternoon, a 65-year-old woman Sunita Bai died after the motorcycle she was riding on crashed near Mundla area on Hatpiplya Road. Sunita, along with her relatives Devendra Singh and Sumitra Bai, was returning to Chhoti Churlai village from a wedding in Bhamori.
Following the accident, the victims were rushed to district hospital, where Sunita was declared dead. Condition of two other riders was stated to be critical.
In another accident on Monday morning, one Dinesh Dubey, a resident of Kaneria, died after his car crashed near Bilavali around 11am. Dubey was returning home after his son's wedding, which had concluded on Sunday night in Lohar Piplia. He was reportedly transporting wedding supplies when the car met with an accident. He succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the district hospital.
On Sunday evening, a hit-and-run accident near Patlavada village claimed lives of a man and his nephew.
The deceased were identified as Rajesh and Punjraj Parmar. The duo, along with seven-year-old Shivam Solanki, were returning to their village on a motorcycle after visiting a relative in Dewas. A speeding unidentified vehicle struck their bike, killing the adults instantly.
Shivam sustained severe injuries and has been referred to an Indore hospital for advanced care.
Dewas police have registered cases in all three accidents.
