Fired from job, teacher kills himself

INDORE: A teacher allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison at his residence after he was terminated by the district panchayat block education officer (BEO) in Barwani on Thursday.
Teacher Prakash Chouhan took the extreme step on Thursday night. His body was found by the family members who rushed him to the hospital where he was declared brought dead, said Barwani police.Police also recovered a suicide note from his possession wherein he mentioned that he was depressed after being terminated from his duties by BEO.
The body was handed over to the family on Friday after postmortem examination and a case was registered, said Barwani police.
The family members claimed that though they knew he was depressed after being terminated, none of them had ever imagined that he would resort to committing suicide.
The bereaved family members demanded investigations in the case at the earliest.
