NEW DELHI: A fire engulfed two factories in an industrial area of Indore district, Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday, according to an official.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
The fire started in a factory involved in ink and printing operations at Tigria Badshah's industrial area, subsequently spreading to a neighbouring unit, as confirmed by fire department's sub-inspector Roopchand Pandit.
Dense black smoke was observed rising from both factories.
The tin walls of both facilities collapsed during the incident. Officials used machinery to clear the debris and successfully contained the fire. The official confirmed that no casualties had been reported in the incident.
The authorities were yet to determine the cause of the fire and assess the extent of damage to both units.
According to eyewitness Vishal Tomar, both factories were empty of workers when the incident occurred.
